1. Creating Opportunities Through Home-Based Craftsmanship: Our artisan partners are home-based makers in rural Georgia, including caregivers and multi-generational families. We support flexible, dignified work that fits real life. We encourage economic self-sufficiency and ownership as each family works out of their own homes establishing a working lifestyle that is beneficial to themselves and their families.
2. Transparency and Accountability: Our artisan partners participate in day-to-day feedback and process improvements related to handcrafting our ear candles. We prioritize clear communication throughout our supply chain. Maintaining open communication and transparency throughout our supply chain supports high-quality craftsmanship in our ear candles.
3. Fair Working Practices: Our artisan partners set schedules that work for their households. Production goals are discussed collaboratively, so the community can support one another while maintaining quality standards.
4. Fair Pay Commitments: Compensation and expectations are set through clear agreements and open dialogue.
5. Commitment to Responsible Work: We do not permit forced labor and we expect all work to be voluntary and conducted responsibly within participating households. Families work together at their own pace set by their own quotas that they set themselves. They handcraft ear candles when it is convenient for themselves.
6. Commitment to Non-Discrimination and Respect: We support a respectful, inclusive working environment and do not discriminate based on protected characteristics. We value safe, positive collaboration with every artisan partner. Our goal is to handcraft certified organic ear candles that are sustainable and based on Fair Trade principles. Harmony and her family collaborate with each artisan family to support a positive and safe working environment. 9. Promoting Ethical, Sustainable Choices: Supporting responsible sourcing and small-batch craftsmanship is an integral part of our mission and education.
10. Respect for the Environment: We work to minimize packaging waste and make responsible shipping and packaging choices whenever possible.
