After moving with her three children—Christopher, Alex, and Nick—into the woods to live off the land, she needed a natural solution for scrapes, bug bites, and everyday skin irritations.

With limited access to big-box stores, she turned to what was available: the land around her. That’s when plantain, a common backyard plant often called “green bandage,” became her go-to herb.
